What this notice covers
This notice covers the static marketing website at www.simplyanswered.co.uk and enquiries sent to our published email addresses. The authenticated portal is a separate service and has a more detailed portal privacy notice covering accounts, phone calls, recordings, transcripts and payments.
This marketing website does not store authentication data, payment details, call recordings or private customer documents.
For clarity, when you use the portal service, assistant transcripts, summaries and captured caller details are kept for 90 days. Assistant call audio is kept for 90 days only when call recording is enabled; otherwise it is deleted. ElevenLabs and its AI model providers process live call audio, assistant instructions, transcripts and caller details to run assistant calls. The portal privacy notice is the authoritative, complete notice for that processing.
Data we receive
- Website request data: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser or device information, referring page and basic security signals. Cloudflare and Amazon Web Services process this information to deliver and protect the site.
- Enquiry data: your name, email address, phone number, business details and anything else you choose to include when you email or call us.
Why we use it
- To deliver, secure and troubleshoot the website, based on our legitimate interests in operating a safe public service.
- To answer an enquiry or take steps you request before entering a contract.
- To keep necessary business and compliance records where the law requires it or our legitimate interests justify it.
We do not sell personal data. We do not currently use advertising or behavioural analytics cookies on this marketing site.
Who processes data for us
We use Cloudflare to protect and deliver the public domain, Amazon Web Services to host the static site, Google Workspace to receive business email, and Google Fonts to deliver the site's typeface. These providers may process limited technical data under their own security and data-transfer arrangements.
Service providers used by the signed-in portal, including Stripe, ElevenLabs and its AI model providers, Google and Apple, are listed separately in the portal privacy notice.
How long we keep it
Infrastructure and security logs are retained for the operational periods configured with our providers. Sales and support enquiries are kept only as long as needed to answer the enquiry, manage any resulting customer relationship, meet legal obligations or resolve a dispute.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to processing. Email [email protected] to exercise a right.
